A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Read it. You won't regret it. Read it this weekend if you can. I read it Friday-Tuesday. This is one of the best book I have ever read. Maybe even better than The Kite Runner. That's all I'm saying.
If you get a chance, see the movie This is England takes place in the 80's, politics of Thatcher, and the skinhead's anger...as seen through the eyes of a child. It's a great movie!!

Blessings.
I love it. Barnes & Noble sent it to me early and I read it before it was even officially released. Hosseini really knows how to spin a yan.
